1 Which country is it, or what culture?
During my adolescence, I came to know about a day called thanksgiving day, which is celebrated in America. I was initially struck on why such a day is there and what the significance of it. This thought made me know more about the country as well the day.
2 Where is it?
We all are well aware of the fact that America is one of the big nations and a developed country.every year on the fourth Thursday in November. The biggest nation celebrates thanksgiving day as a countrywide festival.
3 How do you know about it?
I used to study in a Christian school where Christmas was celebrated on a grand scale. Still, before this, many people would visit our school from the USA to enlighten us about Jesus, and a glimpse of thanksgiving was shown visually. These videos may be the source that made me look closely into their culture and provoked me to know more about the day.
Upon my research through social platforms, I came to know on this particular day, people gather to eat laugh and thank each other. It was astonishing to know that the highest consumption of food happens on this day. It’s even declared as a national holiday where shops malls give special discounts on all assorted items.
4 Why do you want to know more about it?
As I am more inclined towards spending some quality time with family, I wish to know more about this culture of thanksgiving celebrated widely in America. I also came to know through my English friend that this festival marks the secular victory along with the harvest period in the united states. It would be my dream come true to visit the USA for a thanksgiving day to witness there culture and traditions while celebrating those joyful days.
