You Have Recently Visited a Building Which Is of Historical Importance

You have recently visited a building which is of historical importance and came to know that it’s in bad condition. Write a letter to the local newspaper office. In the letter, you should tell:

  • which building it is
  • what are the problems
  • what do you expect them to do

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter in regards to the deterioration caused to the monument Taj Mahal, Agra. I recently visited the Heritage Site last Sunday and took a few of my foreign colleagues along. They wanted to experience the beauty of the monument of what they read in different magazines. The visit not only left me embarrassed in front of other country fellows but also made me worried about the worst condition the building is in.

On our visit, The marble of the monument not only appeared to be tarnished but had also lost its Lustre; it appeared to be yellow and had a lot of algae around the corners. The Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world, but its current state is not appealing. Visitors come from different countries to experience the story of love and its glory. The local authorities of the state are not holding any accountability for its poor condition. This will not only cause a decrease in tourism but also affect the livelihood of people who earn through tourism.

I would really appreciate it if you could print this article and make the sleeping authorities aware of the state. Your article would reach the local people of the area, and this would put the authorities under pressure to make things better!

Yours Faithfully,
