You lost an item while travelling on a bus. An employee of the bus company assisted you in recovering your lost item. Write a letter to the company manager to thank the employee. In your letter, –

• Describe what you lost and how the employee helped you find it
• Say how you felt after recovering from it
• Explain why it was important to you

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to pay my gratitude for locating my briefcase, which I lost during my journey from Chandigarh to Delhi.

Let me inform you that I lost my briefcase, which was in black colour. It was miniature in size, but a brown scratch on the left corner of it made it distinguishable from others. This feature assisted the staff member of the orbit bus in ascertaining it. I had forgotten to pick it up, and it was found on the upper birth of the seat, which that employee later found out.

I felt over the moon about getting it back, as it was precious to me. I took a sigh of relief to see my personal diary, without which I was unable to sleep well.

Besides, it was vital for me as it contained my passport, a diary and a beautiful scarf, which was gifted to me by my bosom friend. Although it had some ATM cards, I didn’t have to worry about it except for the former things which are very dear to me.
