You recently bought a laptop computer. A few days later, the laptop stopped working. When you returned it to the shop, they refused to deal with the problem. Write a letter to the customer service department at the company’s head office, including the following information:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my disappointment with a laptop I recently purchased from one of your branches and the subsequent service I received when I encountered an issue with the product. I believe a resolution from the head office will be in the best interest of both parties.

On 2-8-2023, I bought a Dell Inspiron 14 from your 14 Civil  Lines Ludhiana outlet. For the first couple of days, the laptop worked perfectly. However, to my dismay, it ceased to function entirely on the 7th of August. The screen remained blank no matter how many times I tried to power it on, and there were no signs of life from the machine.

Given the recent purchase, I promptly returned to the shop on 8th August, hoping for a swift resolution. However, the staff at the shop were far from accommodating. They refused even to diagnose the issue, claiming that the fault might have been due to mishandling on my part. I assure you I handled the laptop with the utmost care, and I find it surprising that a product of Dell, a reputed brand, would malfunction quickly.

I would kindly request the following from the customer service department:

  1. An immediate examination of the laptop to diagnose the issue.
  2. A replacement or repair of the computer under warranty, given that the purchase was very recent.
  3. An acknowledgement or response from your end regarding the matter within the next seven working days.

I believe Dell’s reputation is built not only on the quality of its products but also on its post-sales service. I trust that this matter will be dealt with promptly and that future customers will not face a similar experience.

Enclosed are copies of the purchase receipt and the warranty card.
