The ideas of the younger generation and their previous generations differ in several ways and I believe there are numerous problems leading to these differences which sometimes cannot be solved if there are no adjustments. My essay will provide clear reasons for the topic with examples.
To begin with, the mindset of the parents/ grandparents is way limited and traditional, and as they do not experience the world from outside and live on their own terms. In most cases, they expect their children or grandchildren to follow their set terms and policies to succeed in life. On the other hand, the attitudes of youth are fast as well as innovative, and they would love to explore life differently and achieve heights in this busy world so-called rate-race. They cannot understand a few old-school principles set by their parents and try to solve problems independently.
The significant changes in these behaviors not only affect the lifestyle but also their relationship in families. These differences lead to separation from each other, sometimes treating the older people adversely and create several arguments between parents and children. For example, one of my relative’s parents stays separately in the old-age home as they accept the fact that they cannot cope up with their children’s mentalities and frequent disagreements lead to serious health problems such as high blood pressure and panic attacks.
To conclude, often attitudes are different between both youth and older people; one should try to adjust by respecting each other’s decisions and lead happy lives or be ready to face the problems.
