your friend is taking an exam and has asked to you help him/her with studying because he/she knows that you usually do well. write a letter to your friend. In your letter

Dear Rose,

How have you been? I know it has been a long time since we talked to each other. I received your letter with your concerns about preparing for the IELTS exam scheduled for three weeks. I am more than happy to help you with some tips & tricks which can help you not only to score well but also to keep calm during the exam, and it was beneficial for me as I did not enrol for any tutions.

In the first week, I was making myself acquainted with the format of the four sections – listening, speaking, reading, and writing based upon the sources found on the Internet and also some helpful youtube videos would also guide you on the score pattern of each section required to pass the test with more than seven bands. In the same week, I started hearing some English podcasts during my morning walk and watching American series at night after work without subtitles to enhance my listening skills. I started reading the Times Of India newspaper to understand the structure and underline the vocabulary, which helped increase the range of words for the exam. I know someone who can help you evaluate your speaking and writing and provide you with constructive feedback to improve your score. I will mail you the details shortly.

Now comes the primary phase, a week left before the exam date. You will have to make sure to practice as many mocks as you can daily to improve your score and get in the habit of the test format, which will help you on exam day. Many online mock tests can help you to assess the test accurately. Make sure that after each mock, you sit for some time to check the errors and understand why they were marked wrong. If you know why it was wrong and you rectify it in the next mock, chances are your score will increase with each mock giving you a rough prediction of the score which you might end up getting on the exam day.

Lastly, with all the preparations and practice, I get it. You will be confident yet anxious as the exam day arrives. The key to having a successful test is to stay calm and not stress much before the exam. Nervousness can ruin your chances of scoring well if you know the answers. Be confident and relax for some hours before the exam, eat well and have a proper sleep so that you are fresh when you appear for the test.

I hope the above tips can help you score well, and I am here to assist further if needed.

I wish you all the best and looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks & Regards,
