In the modern world, people have enormous ways to spend their leisure time. Some of them try to visit foreign countries with their friends or family members others are like to explore adventurous in our country. Today I would like to talk about one such incident which happened two years before, and that was the plan of trekking one of the most famous tourist destinations in our state “Ramakkalmedu”. This place is nearly 300 km from my home town. There are numerous things that instigate incite this plan. With my few friends, I planned to visit this famous place, and we planned to take a long walk of 7 km because our homestay was upon the mountain, and it was an off-road track. There were off-road vehicle facilities there, but we planned to take a walk. Initially, walking was not much easy because the road was slippery and turmoil with rolling stones. Two of my friends were fell down in the starting, but after a few steps, we got an idea of trekking. Time was at early in the morning, and visibility was very poor. After 3 km, fog totally hampered our visibility. But there were few yellow light torches with us, and we had found the exact ways. There was a noisy breeze, and plants were filled with dewdrops. We took a few snaps and continued our journeys. We got an opportunity to watch a few wild animals in between. We really enjoy the walk because we do not expect such an amazing journey we get in between. After 2 hours, we had reached our final destination, and still, I remember it as one of the greatest journeys we ever had.

Well, I am quite health conscious and always prefer to go for a walk in the mornings. One day my friend visited Canada for a long vacation who reside next to my house. So the next morning, he joined me in the morning. At first, I started a conversation about childhood memories, and we recollected all the funny moments, and later we have discussed the future plans, and he suggested I pursue the masters in Canada as there are high job opportunities and settlement is very easy in Canada where he bought one large five store building in Canada, and I was quite surprised and got influenced. After a certain distance, I decide to show him my beautiful orange farm, which is very near. After going there, he felt very refreshed, and I plucked 2 to 3 oranges and gave them to him; he asked me about organic farming, and I explained a few techniques that I know from my father and grandfather. Usually, I walk for 30 -40 minutes for 2 or 3 kilometres daily. On that day, we have walked for almost 10 kilometres unknowingly. I felt very special on that particular day because every day I used to walk alone as my friends were a bit lazy to get up early in the morning.

Question 1:- What outdoor activities do people like?

Answer 1:- People do like numerous open activities. Most of them are very popular and easy for them. The first and foremost activity is Yoga. It is widely popular all over the world. Secondly, individuals are actively participating in different dance forms as an outdoor activity. Last but not least, inactive sports platforms like football, cricket, tennis, and motor sportspeople are likely most.

Answer 2:- People likes to play outdoor activities such as cricket, football and basketball because they are more prominent nowadays and have more opportunities in the sports field too. Recently I have read about health article which tells about the calorie intake and calorie burnt and in that study shows if people play this cricket or football, they can burn more calories which results in faster weight gain and more prone to a healthier way of living. So, people, that’s why I like to play football and cricket much.

Question 2:- What are the differences between the outdoor activities children did in the past and now?

Answer 1:- In the past, children had only a limited number of resources but, at present, they have astonishing facilities. Moreover, technology was not much developed, and they did not know how to handle the thing. In the present scenario, children have technological advantages, and they are capable of overcoming the situation with the support of this.

Answer 2:- In the past, children used to play traditional outdoor activities like policemen and thieves, hide and seek. But now more awareness has been created, and more playgrounds are available in the international school and children showing more interest towards the cricket, basketball and football international outdoor activities and more people showing interest to pave the path and choosing the career in the sports field mostly the younger generation.

Question 3:- Is leisure important to everyone? Why?

Answer 1:- Definitely, it is the only remedy to be feel relaxed. In between or after a hectic schedule, people are always preferred to engage in numerous types of leisure activities. Some of them take part in popular outdoor or indoor activities. Others are like to engage in social network sites or mobile games.

Answer 2:- Yes, I feel leisure is vital to everyone to relieve from the stress and to engage in the activity or else to spend time with the family. If leisure is not provided, then there will be more pressure on the person and not able to concentrate on the study or work, which results in failures of the person. So, I feel leisure is much needed for every person to recharge their batteries and get back to work and study.

Question 4:- Do women have more leisure than men?

Answer 1:- Not exactly. From my point of view, both genders had an equal amount of leisure. But the only difference is they utilize these moments in diffident ways.

Answer 2:- Based on gender bias, we cannot decide this factor. It depends upon the person activity list like nowadays women are also working equal to the men in almost all fields, so they are also not getting leisure time because they have to take care of the family after work whereas men have to look household things and both the work. So I feel that it depends on the schedule of the person rather than on gender.
