I will like to talk about a time I eat a dish for the first time. Sometimes last year before the lockdown, my husband and I were invited to a dinner party organized by his boss for his employees. I had to put my best self forward because it’s my first time attending the party. I have always been busy anytime the party was planned in past years. I wore a dress bought by my husband showing all my curves. My husband always likes the dress.

We were welcomed and shown to our seats. There were different types of delicacies served that night but a particular one caught my attention as I have not eaten it before, and that is Ghana jollof rice. I beckoned to a waiter to serve me and he came back with my food almost immediately. It is a bowl of long-grain rice garnished with vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and green pea. The taste is delicious and very dii from Nigerian jollof rice which I have eaten before. I enjoyed every bit of it. I felt so good with myself for trying out a new delicacy and I was not disappointed.

Sample 2

I would like to talk about the first time that I had Katsu Chicken Curry. I had this meal during my master’s program at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. I ate this chicken curry at a Japanese restaurant directly opposite our Medical Science building.

The Katsu Chicken Curry had rice with specially prepared chicken and curry sauce. It also had green peas, carrots, and other vegetables together with the sauce.

It was actually my first time trying an Asian dish, and I really felt so satisfied, and I enjoyed the whole experience. I found it to be a little bit spicy. This is because I didn’t know that Asian dishes would be that spicy. I was totally happy and satisfied with my meal, and after that experience, I visited the restaurant more often.
