From childhood to this present time, I have helped a number of people. I was over the moon most of the time, but sometimes my experience was not up to the mark. In today’s busy and selfish world, finding a helpful person is hard.
According to a survey conducted by the Lifepoint website, which I came across recently through social media, 68% of people provide helping hands to others only for personal reasons. Being generous, I urge them to assist others in every situation.
Today I would like to manifest one such situation when I helped my best friend by teaching her cooking. Her name is roshi, and she is my best from school. We were born and brought up in the same locality.
If I jog my memory, it was nearly seven months ago when she decided to migrate to Canada for higher studies. The only thing that was bothering her was cooking, as it is an uphill battle to get Nutritious homemade food in foreign countries.
At that time, I taught her cooking at her mother’s suggestion. At the drop of a hat, I agreed as I have a gifted hand at cooking. Initially, I taught her basic dishes Like chapati, dal and rice. After that, I taught her baking which is really prominent in cooking. It took me approximately 20 days to make her learn to cook flawlessly.
One day, out of the blue, she prepared a Spanish dish herself without any assistance. Within a month, she was able to prepare scrumptious food in her own style. We both were over the moon about her success.
Now she can prepare all types of food by fusion of traditional and international ingredients. This experience for me was like killing two birds with one stone as it not only provided me with an opportunity to help my friend but also motivated me to make my career in this field.

One time, I taught my younger cousin how to play chess. I had been playing chess for years and was excited to share my knowledge with someone else.
I taught her the basics of the game, including how the pieces move, how to set up the board, and the objective of the game. We spent about an hour going over the rules and practising a few games. I also taught her some simple strategies and tactics, such as controlling the centre of the board and protecting her pieces.

Answer – There is a wealth of such stuff that old ones can be taught by youngsters like an introduction to new technology which is really a daunting task for aged ones to deal with however it is the need of the hour. they can assist them in access to mobile phones, computer, laptops so that old ones can also cop up with new generation and don’t feel isolated.
Question 2:- Why do older people have problems learning new things?
Answer – Perhaps it is their age. The reason is that as a person grows older, their learning power gets reduced. Even it is hard for them to remember things for a long time at this age. Along with this, after having spent a major part of their life, they have their own mindset. They are accustomed to doing things in certain ways, so they are not adaptable to learning new things.
Question 3:- Do you think showing is a better way than telling during education?
Answer – Indeed, yes, visualization is the best way to convey ideas and grab attention. It has a strong impact on the mind, which makes a person able to remember things for a long time. For instance, a child can learn a story more effectively through a movie or cartoons rather than just listening and chanting in the classroom. Visualization makes things much more clear and helps to understand in a better way. That’s why media channels also use videos and images to interpret the news.
Question 4:- Do you think constant training is important for people to study something?
Answer – I am on the fence about it, as in some fields, training an individual to achieve aspirations and a Sense of confidence is required. For kids, it is prominent to teach them the basics of life at their primary age regularly; however, when a person is not new to things and ready to take on challenges, constant training is not necessary. If he does things on his own, then it will enhance his creativity, and he can explore new ideas more attentively.
