The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category or exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
General Writing Task
You are a club secretary. An expert from a different country recently gave a talk at the club. Write a letter to thank him/her and say how club members enjoyed it. Include the following in your letter:
– When and where did the talk take place?
– Explain why the members enjoyed it.
– Suggest another lecture to be done in the future.

The given chart illustrates the export earnings of a particular country in the year 2015 and 2016. It shows the export values of different goods such as petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery, agricultural products and textile.
It’s clearly shown that the goods with the highest export value are petroleum products, which in 2015 has the value of 61 billion dollars and in 2016 the earnings went up with 3 billion dollars earnings.
The textile product has the least eArnings of all in 2015. Though in 2016, the earning went up with about 18.5% increase still it has the least earning value.
Engineered goods are the next product after petroleum products with a competitive earning value, in 2015 it has an export value of 57billion dollars, which went up with about 8.5% in 2016.
Export earnings of agricultural products are not too competitive though the value is slightly above that of textile materials.
