Many People Prefer to Watch Foreign Films Rather than Locally Produced Films

Many People Prefer to Watch Foreign Films Rather than Locally Produced Films. Why Could This Be? Should Governments Give More Financial Support to Local Film Industries?

Sample Answer: Many People Prefer to Watch Foreign Films Rather than Locally Produced Films

It is argued that many people watch international films more than local ones. Their fascinating stories resulted in people preferring foreign movies; I believe that the government financing the local film industries would lead to better quality.

Foreign film industries invest huge amounts of money to hire experts to create better stories that end up catching people’s attention. The more specialists involved in story-making, the more interesting the story will be. For example, Hollywood,  the popular international film industry located in the United States, is famous for the interesting stories their movies and series demonstrate, such as Prison Break, one of the best series ever filmed, as 9 out of 10 people I have met who have watched it, proudly admitted that they will watch again and again without running out of energy.

However, I believe that people will change their perspective on local movies and series as the government financially aids them. This will enable the local film industry to have enough budget to obtain high-quality equipment like good video cameras and other essential equipment for broadcasting high-quality films. For example, in my country, Tanzania, due to the low rate of native roots in local films, the parliament amended the film industry’s budget to a level that will help them overcome their challenges and release better quality movies and series.

To recapitulate, many people have lost interest in watching local films rather than foreign films because foreign films contain suitable stories that interest people, while government financial support will help improve the quality of the local film industry.
