Sample 1: People Are Forced to Retire when They Reach a Certain Age: WT-2

Undoubtedly, at the age of 60 and over 65, people are unwilling to do their jobs and gain retirement from their workplace. I reckon that such a situation has both merit and demerits.

The primary pros are younger people are capable of getting employment in their life when companies give retirement to senior citizens. For instance, in India, in big companies at the age of 60 or over, people are unable to do the job or work at any workplace; with the help of this method, there is not only benefit to the company to get fresh material or fresh thoughts from newcomers but it also beneficial to young peoples to have chance to learn a new skill in their life from their work.

Despite the merits, there are numerous demerits of such a situation. Firstly, companies lose their experienced employees when they give retirement letters to their older workers. Thus, the company has faced many difficulties in dealing with new employees because newcomers are unfamiliar with the jobs. Secondly, when old people obtain retirement from their work, they face difficulty in managing their expenses because they have an insufficient amount of money.

In conclusion, although obtaining employment for young people is the merit of such a situation, the demerit is that the company has to lose their well-experienced employees.

Sample 2: People Are Forced to Retire when They Reach a Certain Age: WT-2

Retirement is a pleasure for every person. It’s time to get gratitude from their colleagues for achieving goals and completing their duties. In some nations, there is some age limit set for retirement depending upon occupations, and people are forced to retire when they turn that certain age. There are many pros and cons of doing so. In this essay, we will discuss both the merits and demerits of getting retirement at a certain age.

To commence with, there are numerous benefits of retiring a person at a certain age. The most predominant one is it increases motivation in youngsters. To elaborate, we are living in an era where the population is increasing day by day. Due to the increase in population, the competition for getting a well-reputed job is increasing beyond youngsters; retiring someone at a certain age allows a youngster to grab this job, and it seems like equality. Moreover, it is a harsh truth that with the increasing numbers of age, the efficiency of a person doing a job is decreasing, which affects the productivity of any organization. For instance, in India, the retirement age in the government sector is sixty years. At this time, most people have some health issues and can not work at full strength. However, it is the time to give them a break from their work and give some gratitude depending upon their performance in the organization so that they can spend the rest of their time with their family and friends.

Apart from that, there are also some drawbacks to doing so. Sometimes, there is only a single earning person in any family, and when he reaches that age, he is forced to retire, which he doesn’t want. It caused a financial crisis for him and his family. Furthermore, in some organizations, an experienced man is necessary for the activities. Still, by doing so, we lose a man who is a veteran, and it is sometimes difficult to find his replacement.

To conclude, there are both advantages and disadvantages of getting retirement at a certain age, but from my point of view there should be a choice if someone wants to continue his job moreover he is efficient enough to do the given tasks than he or she should be allowed to continue their work.
