Some people think that the best way to succeed in life is to get a university education, while others disagree and say that it is no longer true nowadays. Discuss both views and give your own opinions.

Sample 1 Some People Think that The Best Way to Succeed in Life Is to Get a University Education

It has been argued by a few individuals that a University degree is only an excellent way to be successful in life, while others express their discontentment by saying that it is no longer needed nowadays. In my perspective, tertiary education is a must to work as a scientist, doctor and in other professions. By doing hard labour, even an illiterate person can become wealthy, but he/she cannot contribute to inventing new medicine or constructing skyscrapers.

According to the first point of view, they favour university education because it is most needed in certain professions such as doctors, engineers or scientists. To elaborate, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Therefore, a master’s degree equips a person with all essential traits and allows them to explore life further. Without higher education, the masses cannot afford their specialization in a particular field. A doctor cannot use the title MS or MD before his/her nameplate. University education broadens the origin of his knowledge of medical technology. Think about a compounder or a nurse who cannot take the place of a doctor. Therefore, it is indispensable for noble professions.

On the other hand, it is considered by a few masses a no longer needed thing. They opine that the ultimate aim of education is to help a person get a good job or improve living standards. Even undergraduates can earn a lot; sometimes, the income is more than the doctorate. To exemplify it, barbers, street vendors or entrepreneurs make a great deal of money. Although they are not well educated, they have a lavish lifestyle and enjoy better facilities. To be successful in life. Hard work has been opined as the key to success. Henry Ford was not literate, but he had appointed a literate person to his company. So, a university education is opined as not one of the ways to achieve success.

To conclude, it is clear that university study plays a vital role in prestigious professions, which are really needed in our society to flourish and save it from calamities and other problems. However, to become rich or improve living standards is not considered necessary. I do favour the former statement, as the contribution of those professionals cannot be overlooked. They do a lot for the progress of a nation.

Sample 2 Some People Think that The Best Way to Succeed in Life Is to Get a University Education

Irrefutable, Higher education plays an indispensable role in everyone’s life, owing to which it is generally argued whether a university education is an optimum way to succeed in life or not. Both views are discussed in the upcoming paragraph, along with my perspective.

On the one hand, there are a plethora of reasons why university education is critical, and the first and foremost reason is learner gain experience in order to deal with demanding situations in life. This is because, provided that scholars are graduated, they have enough knowledge to deal with consequences; therefore, it is justified and fruitful for their holistic development. Due to this, individuals earn money for their livelihood. Besides this, various companies offer job opportunities to youngsters after their higher studies. Take Canada as an epitome, which showed approximately 78% of the population are qualified with higher levels of education and become successful in their life. As a result, it is constructive development and drastically improves mankind’s life.

On the other hand, few individuals opine that the tertiary level of education is not paramount for leading a good life. In other words, in these today’s world, individuals consider it a wastage of not solely time but also money because the individual becomes the victim of debt and depression at an early age after spending money on their education which has a detrimental impact on their holistic development indeed. In addition, the masses indulge in their work to preserve capital for the future because the future is uncertain. Also, individuals become prey to stress. For instance, in 2015, the Headline of BBC British Broadline company revealed that approximately half of the population of China are undergraduates. Consequently, it saves time as well as money.

Having concluded, even though further learning is stressful and costly for individuals, it also offers job opportunities to the masses, and people accomplish triumph in their life.
