In our day-to-day lives, we have ample opportunities to flaunt fantabulous home decor. Today I would like to talk about a painting of Pegasus. Most people like to decorate their walls with paintings or drawings of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa or the Artist Ravivarmas’ princess, and so on.
When I was a youngster, I had the chance to visit one of the most famous Biennales in Cochin. It is a classical international cultural exhibition held every two years. Artists from all over the world should be part of the programme.
Many sketches, drawings, watercolour paintings, carvings, and clay models of world-famous artists are worth seeing there. Advertisements for the biennale were known through the social media platform Facebook.
I booked a couple of tickets, and it’s costly. When I reached there, I was astonished. Each work was incredible. I was on cloud nine. In particular, the only series I felt incredible in is the picture of Pegasus.
It was a rigorous decision. Really, it’s not a bed of roses. The colour combination, the blending, the size, the background of the picture, and of course, the Pegasus, everything is splendid.
Without wasting time, I purchased that artwork. Still, it is one of my great collections. I have a collection of portraits in my home. Obviously, all of them are fabulous decorations for my home walls.

In my country, half the population is not interested in learning about art. There are world-famous artists in each state of our country. Still, people don’t have any obsession with this area. Indeed. In my opinion, that is another genre of art that most people are interested in. It is easy to access music through electronic platforms. People can easily download their liked songs through this. Apart from this, music reality shows and award functions are popular in my country. Because of this, more and more people are listening to music.

There are a plethora of popular art forms in my country. It may vary from state to state. Art forms like sculpting, painting, carving, music, and dance are popular in my country.
4. How has art changed in the past few decades in your country?
In my opinion, artists from the old generation didn’t get as many stages as those from the new generation. Because of this, most of the artists are not recognised by others. New generation artists are popular from the beginning levels. They created shorts or reels and promoted them by themselves through social media. Apart from this, through online classes and direct classes, they can easily learn any form of art from anywhere, anytime.
5. Let’s move on from art in your country to art education. Do you think children should study art in school?
Definitely. Children should learn about any art form in school. This exercise will help them to take a short break and provide immense relief from the burden of studies. In addition, they can compete in numerous cultural festivals and receive recognition.
6. How can children benefit from learning about art?
It will help with hand-eye coordination and enhance mind relaxation. Music will provide great relaxation amid a busy, hectic schedule. Similarly, sculpting and drawing will also provide fascinating peace and relief.
7. Do you think the government should provide support for art and cultural activities?
I reckon that government authorities should take the initiative to support art and cultural activities. This will be a great help for the artists and related workers. More and more individuals may be attracted to these realms. It will be an inspiration to future generations; they didn’t deviate from their focus.
