To be honest, I love observing the sky, and I observe it now and then. I enjoy its sight, especially when covered with dense clouds, a clear sky after the rain, or a starry night. Here I would like to take this opportunity to take about a time when I had the experience of observing a solar eclipse for the very first time.
I cannot remember precisely when, as I do not have a head for dates, it would be around 4-5 years before. While watching the news, I learned that the next day it is going to be the longest solar eclipse of a decade. It would last for around 30-40 minutes and would be clearly visible in the northern part of my country. I was fortunate to be in my hometown, which is in the northern state, to spend the summer vacations.
My extended family decided to observe this rare sight together except children, and within few hours, we arranged X-rays sheets to see the eclipse as seeing it with the naked eyes would be harmful. Just before the eclipse, we all got together on the terrace of our house were quite exciting to experience that moment. I really cannot explain in words the experience I had. Slowly the moon started to overcast the sun. It was around midafternoon, and there was complete dark around. We were awestruck by the mesmerizing beauty of the sky at that moment. My uncle, who had a high-resolution camera, took many pictures of that rare sight. Once the eclipse was over, the sun began to shine brightly again.

Answer – Well, it’s challenging to generalize this behavior, but I would say that some people glance at the clear sky to get inspiration for paintings, photography; some people stare at the sky to enjoy nature’s beauty and to relieve the stress. Answer – Certainly, I feel that these stories would enhance their imagination and creativity and create curiosity in their young minds to know more about the world, universe, and planets. And these are the qualities that are needed for the comprehensive development of a child. My grandmother recited several such stories to me, which fascinated me towards the sky and stars.
Question 4. Can kids be profited from watching celebrities?
Answer – Well, I’ve got mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, celebrities can be a motivating factor for the children to get inspired from their hard work and learn good qualities; on the other hand, a bad role model can negatively influence the child and affect his/her habits and behavior.
Question 5. Would you prefer to see films on planets?
Answer: I guess so; I have watched certain movies based on stars and galaxies. The one that is fresh as a daisy in my mind is the Hindi movie PK, where an alien landed on the earth and got entangled in the superstitious society. It was quite an inspirational movie and was a blockbuster on the movie box office. I enjoyed watching this movie with a family while on vacation.
Question 6. Would you love to see the skies when you’re young?
Answer – Hmm. I guess so. I remember I used to glance at the sky, especially after rain, as a child. Those times, it was not uncommon to sleep on the terrace in my hometown, so while lying under the naked sky, I was often mesmerized by its beauty and sometimes tried to find imaginary planets and constellations.
