The given line chart illustrates the amount of waste generated by three companies from 2000 to 2020.Sample Answer: The Given Line Chart Illustrates the Amount of Waste Generated by Three Companies

The line chart compares the amount of waste produced by three companies—Company A, Company B, and Company C—over a 15-year period from 2000 to 2015.

Overall, Company A consistently generated the highest amount of waste, although its figures declined gradually over time. In contrast, Company C showed a steady increase and eventually became the second-largest waste producer. Meanwhile, Company B experienced a rise followed by a sharp decline, ending the period with the lowest waste output.

In 2000, Company A produced approximately 12 tonnes of waste, the highest among the three. This figure decreased steadily to around 11 tonnes in 2005 and then fell further to about 9 tonnes in 2010, before reaching roughly 8 tonnes by 2015. Despite this downward trend, Company A remained the largest waste producer throughout the period.

Company B started with about 8 tonnes of waste in 2000 and increased to a peak of approximately 10 tonnes in 2005. However, its waste production then dropped sharply, falling to around 7 tonnes in 2010 and declining further to just 3 tonnes by 2015, the lowest level recorded on the chart.

By contrast, Company C showed continuous growth. Its waste output rose from roughly 4 tonnes in 2000 to 6 tonnes in 2005 and 7 tonnes in 2010, before climbing to about 10 tonnes by the end of the period.

In summary, understanding waste trends for Companies A, B, and C can help the audience feel their concerns about environmental impact are recognized, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.
