The given vertical bar graph depicts the information about the proportion of using the internet in Taiwan by four different age group in the given years 1998 to2000.

To elaborate, the highest percentage of the custom of the internet was at 53%, 45% and 44% by age group of 16to30 years in the three years(1998, 1999, and 2000) respectively, which was followed by 41%, 39% and 37% from age group of 31to50 years in given period of the years.

However, it further reveals that the lowest proportion of used internet by age group of less than 15 was at 2% but, it was increased the almost same ratio at 8% and 9%  in the last two years(1999and 2000) In addition, the age group of more than 50 was used 4% internet in 1998 but, percentage of used internet was rose by 4%. Moreover, in the last year, it grew to 10% more.

Overall, the middle age group used more internet but, age group of less than 15 was at the lowest level.

With technology speeding up, more and more young people begin to use mobile phones and the Internet, but old people have little chance to be exposed to them. What ways could the mobile phone and the Internet be useful to old people? How can old people be encouraged to use this new technology?
