The wildlife population worldwide has decreased by around fifty percent over the last fifty years. What can we do to help protect wildlife around the world?
It has been recently published that the number of animal species has dropped by approximately half a percent since the semi century. Human activities are considered the main culprit that has put the life of wild animals at risk. In my perspective, wildlife sanctuaries can protect flora and fauna.
First off, conservation parks can help save the rare species that are going to extinct or on the verge of extinction. In this way, the treasure of a country can be saved. Animals will feel at ease at these places where they will get a natural environment, and the icing on the cake is they will not lose their hunting skill and can roam freely there. For instance, a National park in northeast India provides a natural habitat, and it is helping in preserving Panda, Black Rhino, and to name but a few.
Moving further, people must not hunt animals for their food. They consider animals are a good source of protein, so they hunt animals. They must be aware that they can get protein from other sources as every animal has their right to live on this planet freely. Besides, there must be government control if any person is found guilty by disobeying the rules like Poaching, killing, and hunting. Punishment should be enhanced to three or four years of imprisonment or a heavy fine. Only then will people stop human activities.
In conclusion, I think the human is the main culprit in putting the life of animal species endangered. Conservation Park, imposing heavy banalities can work a lot to save the number of species which are getting a decline.
