Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to complain about the insufficient hot water supply in my apartment, where I have been living with other students at my school. Although your workmen tried to fix the problem, they were unsuccessful in putting it right completely.

The reason mentioned earlier compelled me to write to you. I have taken this apartment with other mates on rent, and the charges of it are exorbitant. We never delayed paying the rent, so we want no issues regarding any facility.

Suffice it to say that you have provided every amenity; however, we do not get hot water in our washroom or in the kitchen. As the winter season is going on and the apartment is on the top floor, windy weather and cold do not let us take a bath early and do watch utensils or other work. We feel colder. Although I managed that situation, my other comrades avoided taking a bath, and I did not feel good as the foul smell came out of their bodies.

Would you be kind enough to resolve this issue as early as possible? It would be great if you could shift us to the ground floor as it is vacant at the moment. We can stay there until the problem is solved. Otherwise, we would have no other option but to leave this place.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,

Sample 2 You Are a Student at An English Language School and Are Living in Private

Dear Mr John,

I am writing to you regarding the ongoing issue with the hot water and heating supply in our accommodation. As a student at your English language school, it is imperative for me to have access to basic necessities such as hot water and heating, especially during the cold winter months.

The problem has been persisting for some time now, despite the efforts of your workmen to fix it. We have not had hot water or heating for several days, and this has caused a great deal of discomfort for me and my fellow students. We have been forced to endure the cold weather without any means of warming ourselves up, and it has become increasingly difficult to carry out our daily activities.

As such, I would like to propose a solution to this problem. I would request that you consider bringing in a professional plumber or heating engineer to assess the situation and provide a more permanent fix. While we appreciate the efforts of your workmen, it is clear that they are not able to resolve the issue.

Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with temporary heating equipment until the problem is resolved. This could include portable heaters or electric blankets, which would help to keep us warm during cold nights.

I hope that you will take my request seriously and take the necessary steps to ensure that we have access to hot water and heating as soon as possible. As paying tenants, we expect to receive the basic amenities that are required to live comfortably, and it is the responsibility of the landlord to ensure that these needs are met.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
