You are having some trouble with a work colleague. Write to your employer. In your letter
- Explain what the problem is.
- Describe how it is affecting you.
- Make a suggestion about what could be done.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Ankitha, a member of the testing team. I am writing this epistle to bring to your notice some challenges that I am facing due to the unaccepted demeanour and language of one of my teammates.
Let me briefly expound on the scenario. My colleague, Ram, has recently joined our team. He cannot cope with us and uses unprofessional language while discussing work. Furthermore, during a call with foreign delegates, he spoke with an inappropriate dialect, which is against our organization’s standards. We were on the verge of losing an extraordinary project because of his constant usage of unparliamentary words.
Moreover, it is creating an unpleasant environment in the bay. I cannot concentrate on my tasks due to his constant nagging and unacceptable language. Even other employees are experiencing challenges because of his improper accent.
Therefore, I humbly request you to discuss his improper way of speaking with Ram. Subsequently, please explain the appropriate norms and dialect that must be practised in the office premises and meetings.
Thank you for your consideration.
