An English-Speaking Friend Has Written to You to Ask You how Your Studies Are Going

An English-speaking friend has written to you to ask you how your studies are going. Write a letter to the friend:

  • Tell your friend how you are preparing for the exam.
  • Tell him/her how you feel about it.
  • Tell him your expectations.

Dear Maria,

I was delighted to receive your letter, and I am doing fine and happy to hear that you and your family members are doing good as well. I really appreciate you for asking me about my studies and how well I am doing. I am in a better position than I was a few weeks earlier. As you know, I had a hairline fracture on my wrist, which slowed down my progress; however, I recovered from it, and I’m able to dedicate more hours to studying. I am also well-versed with the exam format and the type of questions I will likely encounter, so I feel more comfortable about the test.

Overall preparation is satisfactory so far, but I need more practice as I can still not achieve desired marks in the mock tests. I have made a daily routine of giving at least one mock test for each subject section, which will eventually help me improve my score. I have also been following some online materials and videos to utilize the time while travelling to the office.

I aim to get through the exam on the first attempt and would not wish to repeat it as it will affect my work schedule. I had difficulty balancing my job and studies, and on top of that, my health condition was not supporting me earlier. It would be great to have some advice from you as you have already passed this test with flying colours. Your suggestions would be a great help to me.

I look forward to hearing from your soon. Convey my love to your parents and siblings.

Yours truly,
