Sample Answer of Describe a Time When You Saw a Lot of Plastic Waste

Plastic waste is the accumulation of plastic objects, such as cups, bottles, and toys, which are harmful to our environment. I will talk about a time when I saw a lot of plastic waste in my neighbourhood.

October 2009 was a rainy season which was accompanied by flooding. On a beautiful Saturday morning, after a heavy downpour, I was to clean the drainage system, as usual, only to see a pile of plastic bottles and waste fill the drainage to the brim.

This occurred as a result of the negligence of the community, and they refused to clear their water drainage despite the warming from the authority about the flood. I called for the help of the environmental waste management services, who came around to sort out the waste problems and educate the community about regular cleaning of the environment and the health implication and punishment for anyone who was found guilty.

This incident helped our community to get gather for constant cleaning of the environment. Such an incident did not repeat itself. I was so happy to be an agent that brought change to the community.
