Sample 1 Describe a Time You Made a Decision to Wait for Something

As we grow up, we face situations where patience is the best solution. I have had many such situations in the past, but one incident played a significant role in what I m today, so I vividly remember it.

I am a dentist by profession, and after graduation, I wanted to pursue a master’s. For that, I had to appear for the NEET exam, which I gave. After a month result came, and I received my score.

My score was not that good, but it was not that bad. There were 50-50 chances I might get admission to a government college and not get into one. I did not want to do my master’s at a private college as the fees were too high, and I did not want my father’s money for my further education.

The counselling started, and I did not get to sit in the first two rounds. I decided to wait for the final round before I concluded what to do next. There was a 15 days break between 2nd and final rounds. Believe me; those 15 days felt like 15 months.

I was tensed, and I kept thinking about what I will do and what would be the best path for me if I didn’t get admission and many more. Finally, the day arrived, and I got admission. And I felt it was good to wait because I had taken up any other seat in a private college. This seat wouldn’t be offered to me according to the rules.

Sample 2 Describe a Time You Made a Decision to Wait for Something

Well, sometimes it becomes challenging for a person to decide anything, either in their job or in their personal life. I had felt a similar experience.

When I decided to wait for my Europe trip during my summer vacation, it was a tough time for me as I had also applied for a job in a college which was my childhood dream, and simultaneously I used this visa.

Fortunately, I got employment, and I needed to join it after the first semester was over. Had one month period for it. I felt terrible during that period because an overseas trip was also my dream, and I didn’t want to lose any of them.

During the waiting period, I prayed a lot because things would have been different if I had not got it on time. Finally, one week was left to join my job, and I lost all hope. Luckily, a miracle happened, and I got my visa.

At that time, it was easy for me to join late instead of taking leave for more than one month. I was happy about it, so that was when I really waited for a long time to get it.
