Well, I am a philanthropist and eagerly wait for an opportunity to act as a volunteer. I never miss the boat to assist the destitute by donating some food or clothes. Here, I would like to speak about the time when I did charity work. It was the time after passing my graduation and I had free time for three months. In the meantime, one of my friends had suggested to help her in teaching the children of slum areas. I immediately agreed and the very next day, I approached the children.
Though it was my first experience, and getting nervous was obvious for me at that time. However, I girded up my lions to teach them. They were also a bit low to see me there. But regular meetings vanished their fear and made them comfortable and they showed a great interest in learning. I did not know how the time got passed but I was happy to teach them. Since then, I have thought of doing unpaid work whenever I will get an opportunity. It made me more sympathetic and of course, helped me to know the life below the poverty line and currently I do participate in fundraising campaigns to help them and also recommend others to help them by donating money or clothes so that they can also have a good life. So, this was the unpaid work that I still love to do.
