Academic Writing Task 1
The chart below compares the number of people per household by percentage in the UK in 1981 and 2001. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
General Writing Task 1
Write a letter to your friend expressing your inability to meet on a particular date. Your friend was supposed to visit you soon, but due to some personal problems, you can?t meet him/her on the specified date. Write a letter to him or her explaining the situation. In your letter, you have to:
- Apologies to your friend.
- Explain why it?s not possible to meet now.
- Suggest an alternative date for the meeting.
General / Academic Writing Task 2
Some scientist thinks that there are intelligent life forms on other planets and messages should be sent to contact them. Other scientists think it is a bad idea and would be dangerous. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
