Sky and Stars Speaking part 1 Questions With Answers. These are the IELTS Speaking part 1 Topics and Questions on general topics about your life. Your answers will be from your life and experience.

Question 1:- Do you like to watch the sky?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I quite enjoy stargazing and having to look at the different constellations in the sky. I particularly enjoy watching the sky at sunset and dawn times.

Question 2:- What is the sky like at night in your hometown?

I currently reside in Riyadh, KSA, which is a metropolitan city and it is very populated and developed. So, the light pollution in this city is off the charts, and you can barely see any stars in the sky at night. However, in my hometown in Pakistan, I live in a very underdeveloped and tiny village. The night sky there is absolutely sensational. You can see so many stars. You can spot so many constellations. At some nights, if you’re lucky, you can even see the milky way.

Question 3:- Can you see the moon and stars where you live?

Yes, of course, you can see the moon and stars where I live. But as I mentioned before, the stars are not very obvious due to light pollution. So, you can see one or two stars out there twinkling. If you’re lucky, sometimes you can spot a constellation or two but not more than that.

Question 4:- Do you like to watch stars?

Yes absolutely. I love stargazing. I have been on many expeditions and trips specifically for this reason. It is one of my favorite things to do when on holiday.

Question 5:- Have you ever taken a course about stars?

No, unfortunately, I have not taken a course about stars. I had a very brief introduction to astrophysics during my A levels when I was studying physics. But other than that, I do not have academically studied stars.

Question 6:- Is it important to study stars?

I don’t think it is something important for every individual. Yes, I do believe that there should be a certain basic knowledge that everyone has about the stars. But more so it depends on your interest. If you have the interest, if you are keenly into astrophysics or astronomy or just basic star gazing, then I think for sure, you should study it.

Question 7:- What’s your favorite star?

My favorite star. I am afraid I don’t have a favorite star as of yet. If the sun counts, our sun, then yes. It keeps us alive. I want to say that the sun is my favorite star.
