Achievement is considered the reward for dedication and perseverance by most people in society. However, some debate that it comes by chance. While both statements are true, there are factors to consider when taking a stance.
In a situation where a person comes from a Wealthy family, he or she has a clear path to succeeding in life. Some might do little to nothing, and opportunities are thrown open to them in contrast to when an ordinary person strives to get ahead in life.
An instance was when one of the children born into the Wealthy Dangote family and I were opportuned to bid for a project competition. Even with my years of experience and expertise, I lost to him. He had only basic knowledge about the project in question and no professional portfolio.
Another point to note is the luck factor. For example, two friends who graduated from college in the same year. One is a mathematician and the other is a comedian. The comedian plays the lottery and participates in the United States of America’s lottery that is held annually, whenever he can. While the other friend burns the midnight candle, going from one investor to another. A faithful day came, and the comedian won the lottery and became rich. He invested that money wisely, and now he is known all over the globe for his wealth and achievements.
These scenarios buttress reasons why some people do not believe in the totality of Hard work resulting in success. Rather, they believe one can stumble on success. Although a hardworking person would eventually become successful, I strongly believe that having a prominent background and tenacity aid one’s road to success against all odds.

Undoubtedly, it is true that everyone wants to become successful in life. A group of people has a suggestion that to achieve success, hard work and strong willpower play a crucial role. However, other people claim that other factors, such as confidence and patience, are more important. Both of these views, I will explain in the following paragraph, along with my inclination.
On one hand, some people say that hard work and determination are required to achieve victory. This is because these two are basic fundamentals which act as a key to open the door to desired results. Success is not a straightforward process in each and every field. A lot of efforts are required along with a strong decision. To illustrate this, to do research on a particular thing, a scientist has to repeat an experiment hundreds of times. It also requires strong willpower because the purpose of doing that may not be clear without it.
On the other hand, some people believe that patience and confidence are the most important factors. Because one cannot achieve success in one night. People have to wait for some time, along with putting continuous efforts into it. Take the example of a student who wants to become a doctor. To do a PhD in medical science, students need to complete studies first and also have to clear the examination of NEET, which allows them to get admission in college to become a medical professional in future. Moreover, confidence is also an important factor. Without confidence in oneself, it is impossible to put in enough effort to gain success.
In conclusion, hard work and determination are common factors which must be present in all who want success. However, patience and confidence are not negligible factors in winning in life.
