The environmental problems that today’s world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So governments and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The world today is facing such enormous environmental problems that the situation seems to be out of reach of the ordinary people to improve, and hence it is the authorities holding power that should be responsible for reversing the harm being done to the planet. It can’t be denied that entities capable of bringing a change should come forward, but it is also a sense of cooperation that is expected to come from every individual to make this world a better place.
Industries across the world are responsible for a large amount of damage being done because of various toxic by-products being released into nature while they try to maintain their profit margins at their peak. However, a change in this process is not in the hands of a common man and needs to come from the consciousness of the mega-tycoons and the government. For instance, chemical waste from factories is released untreated into rivers to save the cost of a treatment plant. Such harmful methods, which cannot be brought to a halt by the local group, ought to be stopped by the government.
While it is definitely the role of high-scaled organizations to revolutionize the industrial culture, cooperation from the ordinary folks could also be a helping hand to save the earth. Industries won’t stop supplying enemies of nature like plastic or thermocol unless there has been a fall in demand. Hence, a change in the habits of people is also necessary to reduce the production of toxic materials. For example, replacing single-use plastics with paper bags could definitely bring a huge drop in the demand for plastic and eventually reduce its need for production.
To conclude, it is quite clear to state that although it is the primary responsibility of government and large organizations to heal the damage, it is also needed for ordinary people to change their consumption habits.
