In Paris, it was started in 1900, whereas in Tokyo, it was started after 27 years in Paris and even though the distance travelled is less in Tokyo, the people used the service is more than in Paris (1928).
In Washington DC, it began in 1976, passengers who travelled were 144 million, and the distance cut by train is 126 km which made clear that individuals of Washington DC used train services less than other city’s individuals. In Kyoto, for 11 km of route, 45 million travellers used train services which started in 1981. Lastly, service in Los Angeles began in 2001 with 28 km of the route for 50 million travellers.
