Work Part 1 Questions With Answer: IELTS Speaking Test

Question 1:- Do you have a job right now?

Answer – Right now, I am not employed. I am fully studying, so I think that I can consider it my current job.

Question 2:- Do you enjoy your job?

Answer – As I am not employed, I will talk about my last job. I have worked in the History Department at the Brazilian Navy. I loved that job, and I miss working there. I was doing what I like, working with what I like: History.

Question 3:- What responsibilities do you have at work?

Answer – I was responsible for many things, but one of the tasks I did more frequently was searching for specific information that researchers were looking for. For example, information about ships or specific people that worked in the Navy.

Question 4:- What is your typical day like at work?

Answer – It was a part-time job. So I went there directly from my university. I left around midnight. So I had my lunch and started working. Usually, I should be working on research; if not, I should fill in information about people who worked at the Navy in one specific spreadsheet to facilitate research.

Question 5:- What would you change about your job?

Answer – I would change the way military people started to treat us. When the command changed, the military people began to ask us to act like them, Which I thought unfair, considering that I was working there as a civil person.

Question 6:- What job do you think you will be doing in five years?

Answer – I really hope that I will be working at the university. Either teaching or researching about the Medival Period.

Question 7:- What skills and qualifications are required for this job?

Answer – I need to have a degree (and, if I am right) a master’s degree in History. As I only have my degree, I still have a long way to go to reach this life-dream job.
