I am writing this letter to express my sincere apology for being absent from the meeting that was scheduled for 8th September 2020. It was indispensable for every employee to attend as it was about the reopening of the restaurant which had been closed for a couple of months. I know you have been very kind and thoughtful not only to me but also to others. You wanted to make us aware of some rules and precautions while carrying out duties. It was a terrible blunder on my part that I could not attend this meeting.
Let me explain the reason for my absence that was unavoidable. As I was on the way to attend the meeting, I had been told by one of my neighbors that my mother had a serious heart attack and she was hospitalized. This news was a bolt from Blue for me and I turned back home.
I know I have let you down. I could have informed you but the situation didn’t allow me as I was more worried and panicked about my mother’s health. You know I have always prioritized my work and have never ever disrespected and disobeyed you by showing irregularities. Would you be kind enough to reschedule the meeting for any other day or if there is anything else that I can do to fix things and regain your trust, let me know?

I am writing this letter to submit my apologies for absence from the recent meeting which was held yesterday with one of our major client.
I want to bring the situation in your knowledge that I faced on the day of meeting. When I was on the way to office to attend the meeting, I got an accident with another car. Although, this accident cause me minor injury, rescue staff did not release me without being completely checkup at the hospital due which I was not able to be appear in the meeting.
I am completely aware about the importance of the client for our company and I have gained all the details from my assistant, who attended meeting in my absence, about the meeting and client’s requirement. Therefore, I have started working on client’s presentation and will defiantly submit you for further modifications.
I hope that you would accept my apologies for my absence and situation you have faced within the meeting.
I hope you are in the pink of health as it’s been a long time I haven’t got a chance to meet you personally. Coming on the point, I owe an apology for not being present in our recent meeting -Debt meeting, Tuesday.
Certainly, I am grateful to you for allowing me to work in our second branch (United Kingdom-London) for the Digital Measures project. Due to being in a remote location, I was advised to join the meeting from my personal laptop as the timings are different in India and London. Before the meeting could have started my internet connection stopped working, however. And, I was not able to find a way out on my own.
