You Have a Full-Time Job and Are Also Taking an Evening Course Several Hours a Week

You have a full-time job and are also taking an evening course several hours a week. You feel that you cannot continue taking the course. Write a letter to the course tutor. In your letter you should:

  • describe the situation?
  • explain why you cannot continue the course?
  • say what you intend to do?

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my inability to continue the evening course at your college. Being a full-time employee now, it is a herculean task for me to devote more hours to this.

Let me inform you that I have been working as a teacher in a school. My job timing is quite flexible, and generally, it starts at 8:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. The rest of the time compels me to involve in any language course for a secure future in any other reputed school.

Furthermore, after becoming a new mother of a daughter, I realized my responsibilities to my child. Now it is difficult for me to live alone with anybody in the evening. From morning till noon, she eats and sleeps a lot. But as soon as the sunsets, she finds me. Therefore I cannot continue this course.

Would you be kind enough to transfer me to another batch, which is going to start the next summer? My child will grow up in the meantime. I hope you will understand my situation.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Faithfully,
