Sample Answer of Your family is going to celebrate an occasion and your child needs a day off from school. Write a letter to the headmaster of the school.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to take your permission for my child for three days’ leave. It is essential for him to attend the retirement party of his grandfather that is going to be organized in Mumbai.

I have been living in an extended family and we have been celebrating every occasion with great pomp and show. Since he has been promoted to the next class, we were unable to visit Mumbai. Now on this auspicious day, his grandfather wishes to see him. He is an apple of his grandfather’s eye. John’s grandfather will shift to a new house after retirement and want the presence of him on the very first day as he is the only one grandchild in our family.

Moreover, I will take the whole responsibility for my child’s lessons. I have already told one of his friends to send after school work regularly. Being fully conscious about his second term exams, I am making requests to grant you the leave for above mentioned days. What’s more, I have heard from one of my friends that you take a language class in the evening so it is quite convenient for him to attend the evening class. Would you be kind enough to inform me of the time and duration?

Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Yours Faithfully,
