Sample 1

I spend a lot on things like food, electricity and clothing, but I spend massively on airtime and data bundles. It left me in a vague with why I spend too much on that. It’s terrible that I can spend about ¢600, which equalizes $100 in a month for calling my business partners and customers in a month. Sometimes, I shop online and do some sales too online with customers who can’t visit the shop regularly.

I hardly found it difficult to stop being extravagant on the purchase of airtime and data bundles, but in some ways, it has been my anchor, helping me reach many customers and helping in making a lot of income. I realized I was sending more on airtime when I had a promotion collaboration with one of the telecommunication, and they accepted to sponsor me with airtime and data bundles.

In fact, I excelled within the period of their sponsorship. Again, I had time to calculate the number of purchases I make on airtime and data bundles, and it baffled my mind. I think I’m spending more than expected because contacting people with other networks causes high wages of airtime deduction, and downloads from the internet also cost much in data bundles.

Sample 2

I remember when I went to buy a laptop when I was at the university. The laptop was highly in demand at that time since there was a lot of research works and projects to be done, so I had to get it at all costs.

I went to one of the most renowned PC shops in the city to get myself a laptop, and upon reaching there, there was a wide range of different laptops to buy, but I was particularly interested in getting myself a Dell Inspiron Laptop even though there were some other laptops with many affordable prices, I had to spend 2500 Ghana Cedis to get myself this laptop which I never expected to spend.

I bought this Dell Laptop because that was my favourite brand of computers and wasn’t having any interest in any other brand.

And in all, I spent more than I had planned because I budgeted around 1500 Ghana Cedis just to realize I had used almost twice the price of what I had planned.
