Talk About an Event You Attended in Which You Didn’t Like the Music Played

You should say

  • What was the event?
  • Where were you?
  • What music was like?
  • And explain why you didn’t like the music?

Well, music is a therapy, and it relieves a person’s uneasiness and turns the sad face into a happy one. Here, I would like to speak about a time when I was invited to attend the wedding of one of my friends. Actually, it was held in Chandigarh, and I was very excited because I love to listen to music and when my friend told me that there was a good arrangement of listeners, who really really enjoy the company of great musicians. I couldn’t wait, and on the day of the wedding, I was as happy as larry to get a seat in the first row because it was a great chance for me to listen to music so closely and to know more about the musician. But all my hopes dashed into the ground when I listened to folk music instead of jazz music.
I don’t mean to say that I don’t like traditional music, I do love it but not about marriages or parties. Because this kind of music is simple and uninteresting, it may be the reason that it is played by ordinary musicians. I thought it would last for a while, but I wasn’t able to hear it anymore. So it was really disappointing as the music was slow and everybody was engrossing in talking with each other, so nobody paid attention to such kind of music. I thought it would have been better if jazz music might be played as people really love the music, which compels them to dance on the floor. Although people don’t understand the nature of the music, just they want rhythm, beat. So that was the time when I really got bored by listening to folk music due to its simplicity and monotonous nature.
